Women in Golf Charter
We are delighted to announce that England Golf and the R&A have awarded Ellesborough Golf Club ‘Women in Golf Charter’ status. In signing this, we are committed to a culture that values women in every aspect of the sport, from participating in the game, becoming members of club committees and holding seats on the Board of Directors, to pursuing a career related to golf.
Our commitments to the Charter include:
- Charter Champion and Committee: A designated Charter Champion and Women In Golf Committee that meet regularly to review, revise, update and implement the Charter
- Free taster Session: Organising free Taster Sessions to highlight our Academy and the opportunities for its’ members to progress through the Academy Pathway, meet our Professionals and gain an insight into our Ladies Section
- Buddy System: Providing all new lady members with a Buddy, who supports ladies new to golf, and ensures experienced ladies joining Ellesborough receive a warm welcome and all the information they need to transition smoothly into the club
- Inclusive Committees: Encouraging ladies to be involved in the running of the club by becoming members of committees which are not gender specific
- Junior Pathway Promotion: Promote our Junior Pathway to support the recruitment and retention of girls at the club
At Ellesborough Golf Club we are proud of our Ladies Section and , as demonstrated in our Women in Golf Charter, endeavour to ensure that it continues to grow and thrive.
